Laura Linney, born February 5, 1964, in New York New York U.S.A. is an American actress known for portraying powerful, but fragile characters. Linney was born into a theatre family, her father, Romulus Linney was a playwright. Linney graduated from Arts Theatre School, Moscow in 1986. Then she earned an M.F.A. at Juilliard School. New York City was her first stop in the 1990s. She appeared on Broadway for the first time in the year 1990.
